My interpretation of what the wife is actually lamenting is probably different then most. I find it similar to Wulf and Eadwacer due to the fact that it's the "song" of a woman. Most believe that the woman/wife is longing for her earthly husband. While this makes the most sense in the situation I think that she could also have been referring to God. She calls her husband her Lord, and could be looked at as the "Bride of Christ".

Fortunately I don't have too much to lament on. This is going to be more of a rant of sorts. But isn't that what blogging is supposed to be? Somewhere to come a pour out your thoughts? I think yes. So here it goes! I have a bestfriend [who for the sake of this shall be named Fernando] and he's a wonderful person. I love him dearly and he's always been there for me, and me for him. However, some of his friends aren't the best. They lie to his face and do it with a smile. Now maybe I'm the only decent person left in the world but that really bothers me. I don't know what to do about it because I don't want to hurt him anymore that he already is, and if I don't do anything I feel like I'm letting him get walked all over. I just don't know how to handle it. Then there's a certain family member of mine [let's call him Wayne] who I can absolutely not stand. Every little thing is a big freakin' deal to him. He's gets mad over the dumbest things and I'm convinced he's pure meanness on the inside. Kinda like the Grinch, his heart is 10 sizes too small. But anyways, I'm finding solutions to my problems and moving forward in life, that's really all anyone can do. So I guess this is me signing off.

Peace

beowulf + random thoughts.

So, though I thought it was borrrrring at first I ended up enjoying Beowulf. It was a lot more interesting that I thought it would be. I'd been tainted by pre-conceived notions that follow watching the movie, "Beowulf." (which I know Mrs.Watson hates!) However,  I was surprised to find the literature much more intriguing that I had originally thought.

On another note, we did our presentation in class. Sadly, our movie isn't working all that great, but we did have a discussion and question/answer session which I'm thinking was pretty successful (:

Anyways, I've got to go eat dinner...and read my English book of course!
Peace
